Christmas Events Around Plain City. Craft and Gift Show at the PAC. Christmas in The Village of Mechanicsburg. Pet Photos with Santa.

There are a few things going on locally this Saturday, December 11, to get you in a festive mood. First off, from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday, there will be a Craft and Gift Show at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church’s Parish Activity Center (the PAC) located at 670 West Main Street (behind the fire station). Admission to this event is free. There will be over fifty vendors selling their wares. This would be a good opportunity to do a bit of shopping in one very local and easy-to-access location and mark a few more people off the never ending gift list. There have been signs up all over town about this event, so we hope you plan on attending.

The village of Mechanicsburg will be hosting their own version of our Christmas Under the Clock this Saturday, December 11. Called “Christmas in the Village,” (hey if you don’t have a clock in your town, you can’t exactly have Christmas Under the Clock) this annual event will feature the arrival of Santa (he must have been hiding out at Perry’s all week waiting to head over to Mechanicsburg), a Christmas Parade, and the opportunity to shop at an arts and crafts show. Finally, you can warm up with a bowl of chili at the Fire House Chili Supper. Since Mechanicsburg is only about 20-30 minutes from Plain City, this would be a nice activity close to home to get you ready for the holidays.

Christmas in the Village runs from 10 am to 8pm. For a full list of events for the Christmas celebration in Mechanicsburg, go HERE.

Finally, don’t forget about Photos with Santa at the PetSmart on Sawmill from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday, December 11. A photo package (you receive a digital photo in a holiday frame) is $9.95 with your PetPerks card. $5 from every package sale goes to Black and Orange Cat Foundation. Santa this year will again be our own Chuck Gaul. So bring your pets and come visit Chuck and Carol and me and Joe as we help situate dogs and cats (and even a snake one year) on Chuck’s lap for a picture. We hope to see you there!
