Revival of Plain City Farmers Market Needs Committee Members.

I recently had an email from Chris Long at the Plain City Public Library seeking help for the Plain City Farmers Market.

Chris told me that there were efforts underway to revive the Plain City Farmers Market. Jody Carney, the FFA teacher at Fairbanks High School, is paving the way and Chris has been helping her as everyone else has dropped out.  Jody is also a Plain City resident who wants to get involved in the community and is preparing her students to get involved, as well.  Village Council blessed a Farmers Market program so now it’s a matter of organizing and finding others to help.

Chris mentioned that she knew we carried a few locally made items in the pharmacy and she thought Joe and I might know some individuals who would be interested in serving on a Farmers Market committee.

So how about it?

Chris said that if there was anyone who would be willing to serve on a committee (this would involve a few meetings and committing to about five Monday evenings during market season) or who would like to vend their produce, baked goods, or hand crafted items (for pets, perhaps?), to please contact her by email at clong@plaincitylib.org or by calling the Library at 614-873-4912, ext. 23.
