Happy Retirement to Ann Murray!

Ann Murray has worked at the pharmacy almost since we opened. She started in 2000 and eleven years later, she has finally decided that it is time to retire. As she said, “I’m eighty-two years old. I think I’ve earned the right to retire.”

We know you have, Ann, but we are going to miss you!

Ann’s last day will be May 2 (or if she doesn’t get the “beginning of the month” large order put away on Monday, she plans to come back and finish on Tuesday, May 3). Ann told us her plans a few weeks ago, but we still haven’t quite gotten used to the idea of her being gone.

This is a good time for Ann to take her leave from the world of work, though. Fishing season at Lake Erie will just be getting underway as the weather finally warms up. In previous years, Ann and Richard always had to hurry back from the Lake so she could be at work on Monday. With Ann’s retirement, they will be able to stay as long as they want with no worries about having to be anywhere at any particular time.

Thank you, Ann, for all your hard work through the years. Thank you, also, for getting Richard involved in many of our schemes. You are a good friend and we love you. You will be missed by me, Joe, and all the staff and customers at Plain City Druggist.

If you would like to send Ann a note or a card to thank her or to congratulate her on her retirement, you can mail it to 439 South Chillicothe Street in Plain City.

Happy Retirement, Ann!! You will be missed (so come visit us)!
