We’d like to introduce you to the new pharmacist we have working part-time behind the counter in the drugstore and also manning the compounding lab at Midwestern Compounding Pharmacy.

This super “mixer magician” is Bob Borchers and many of you may recognize him from his days at The Medicine Shoppe in West Jefferson. Bob also owned Cornerstone Pharmacy, across from Doctor’s Hospital off of West Broad Street on the west side of Columbus, for many, many years before he and his wife, Jenny, decided to spend a bit more time relaxing and less time being business owners.

Bob has kindly agreed to step in and help us with marketing the compounding business. Besides letting all his former Rolodex contacts know what he’s up to, Bob has also been rolling up his shirt sleeves to make tons of capsules, creams, and suspensions. Bob has a huge amount of compounding experience and we are so glad to have him with us.

Bob, like Joe and me, graduated from The Ohio State University’s College of Pharmacy. So you know, he’s got to be good!

What else do you need to know about him? Bob likes his coffee (there is always a pot brewing in the compounding lab when he is there) and he is also a huge James Bond fan (he and his son like to analyze all aspects of the movies after a new one arrives in theaters).

We hope you’ll stop in and say hello to Bob. Or better yet, bring him a prescription for a compound and he’ll magically whip out a vial or jar just for you!
