Heritage Day Celebrates Plain City’s Amish Heritage on Saturday, May 17 from 10 am to 4 pm.

On Saturday, May 17, Der Dutchman Restaurant will present Plain City Heritage Day. The event, which will run from 10 am to 4 pm at 445 South Jefferson Avenue (next to Der Dutchman Restaurant), will feature displays and products commonly seen in our area in the past. An emphasis will be on the Amish culture in Plain City with demonstrations on broom making, woodcrafting, blacksmithing, and more. There will also be several cooking and food contests, as well as plenty of food and activities for children.

Additionally, beginning at 12:30 pm, you can get a feel for vintage baseball when The Ohio Village Muffins baseball team takes on a team representing Der Dutchman.

There will also be a musical concert by Clear Run and John Schmid, featuring gospel songs, oldies, and lots of other favorite tunes.

After the pharmacy closes at noon on Saturday, parking for Heritage Day will be available in our parking lot, which is just across the street from the event.
