Black and Orange Cat Foundation’s 6th Annual Garage Sale is July 12-15.

Black and Orange Cat Foundation will be holding their 6th Annual Garage Sale from Thursday, July 12 to Sunday, July 15 at Board Member, Carol Gaul’s house at 176 Anderson Avenue (which abuts Pastime Park).

The B and O garage sale always coincides with the Miami Valley Steam Threshers Association Show at Pastime Park in Plain City. This is the 63rd year for the Steam Show and they will be featuring the Allis Chalmers tractors in “The Gathering of the Orange.” To see a full schedule of Steam Show events, go HERE.

Black and Orange Cat Foundation is currently collecting donations for the sale.  If you have anything you would like to donate, please call Carol at 614-419-1553.

The group is asking this year that if you bring items to donate, to please go ahead and price them ahead of time. They get a ton of stuff and pricing it all takes several days. B and O also will not take items the week of the sale (unless you have made special arrangements with Carol). It is just too hectic for Carol to have people bring items at the last minute that need priced.

Black and Orange is also looking for volunteers who can come help Carol at the sale and give her a break to grab a bite to eat or feed her kitties. If you’d like to do a shift (from a couple of hours to half a day) at the sale, please call Carol to schedule or send an email to bandocats@gmail.com. The More The Merrier!!

The garage sale will begin each day at 9 am (maybe earlier if Carol has her coffee) and will last until the final buyer leaves for the day. There are always a wide mixture of items. So come, shop early, and shop often.

This is a huge fundraiser for Black and Orange, who wants to thank everyone for donating their treasures to help the area kitties. All donations go towards spay/neuter and veterinary services and helping local cats in need.

Enter the Raffle to Win One of Seven Easter Baskets Donated by Leann Davidson and Support Black and Orange Cat Foundation.

Each Easter, Leann Davidson (Ruby Rice’s daughter), kindly donates a lovely basket that she makes herself to Black and Orange Cat Foundation to raffle off as a fundraiser. This year, Leann really outdid herself and made seven baskets to help raise money to spay and neuter area kitties. These baskets aren’t really baskets, however. Some feature painted flower pots, while others have decorated buckets. All are filled with tons of goodies that we know anyone would enjoy receiving on Easter morning.

Stop in the drugstore and fill out a raffle ticket to win one of the baskets. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Please just put your name and telephone number on the ticket. We will draw the winners on Good Friday, April 6, and call those lucky people so they can pick up their basket before Easter.

Thank you again to Leann for helping Black and Orange raise money to help Plain City kitties.

Get Your Gifts Wrapped for a Donation to Help Kitties!

We will have volunteers in the pharmacy on Thursday, December 22, and Friday, December 23, from 4-6 pm wrapping gifts for a donation to Black and Orange Cat Foundation. We will also be wrapping presents on Christmas Eve from 10 am-noon. Bring your gifts in or buy some in the store and we will wrap them for you for a donation to help spay and neuter area kitties!

We’ll provide the gift wrap (you can choose which you like best), the bows, and even a box if you need one. All you have to do is provide the gift! We have professional wrappers on site (namely, my mom, Roberta Timmons, who has been wrapping gifts for Santa for years). Please stop in and let us help make your season a bit easier by wrapping your presents.

This is especially good for those guys out there who always have their wives, girlfriends, mothers, or sisters take care of their gift wrapping (Joe, keep that in mind–oh, but wait, Mom usually wraps gifts for you anyway!). Get your sweetie’s present wrapped and make it look good (you can even pretend you did it yourself–we won’t tell).

Join Black and Orange Cat Foundation for the Second Annual Fall CAT-illion at Eldchrist Winery on Saturday, November 12, from 6-10 pm.

Eldchrist Winery, located at 8189 State Route 736 in Plain City, has kindly agreed to host the second Fall CAT-illion to benefit Black and Orange Cat Foundation on Saturday, November 12, from 6-10 pm (the OSU football game is AWAY that day, so no reason to hold back). Tickets for the CAT-illion are now available.

Tickets are $40 per person or $75 for a couple. Included in the ticket price are unlimited wine by the glass, soft drinks, coffee, and tea, as well as hors d’oeuvres and entertainment by classical guitarist Tip House.

B and Mittens are the kitties that are featured on the label of Kitten’s Kiss Wine. These two went through a Black and Orange clinic to get neutered and vaccinated. Thus, to thank Black and Orange, the Winery has graciously offered to conduct this classy fundraiser once again.

Besides everything that Eldchrist Winery has planned, Black and Orange also plans to have Christmas gift items and baskets for sale during the event.

A former adopter and good friend to B and O, Olivia Brininger, will be selling Lia Sophia jewelry with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Black and Orange.

We plan to have a lot of fun, so if you want to come, get your tickets now. The Winery can only hold 50 people per fire code, so Eldchrist will be selling around 50 tickets for the evening. If you would like tickets, you can purchase them by credit card by calling the Winery at (614) 874-6240. You can also stop in while they are open on Fridays from 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturdays from 2 pm to 8 pm.

Additionally, we have tickets for sale here at the drugstore. Just ask Joe or me for more information or to purchase a ticket. Eldchrist Winery will also have some tickets available to purchase at the door the night of the event.

Join Black and Orange Cat Foundation at the Flea-less Market at BarkPark on August 20 from 9 am to 3 pm.

BarkPark is holding a giant yard sale coupled with an adoption event and a dog wash on Saturday, August 20 from 9 am to 3 pm.  Over twenty-eight animal welfare organizations will be participating with 100% of the proceeds going to help homeless animals.

Besides tons of booths featuring new and used treasures, there will also be a concession stand, a dog wash and nail trim from noon to 3 pm, and dog friendly shopping (dogs on leashes are welcome to browse, too!).

BarkPark is located at 6755 Merchant Road in Delaware (about 5 minutes from Plain City).

We hope you’ll join Black and Orange Cat Foundation at this first ever event. All of the rescue groups will be lined up along the grass next to the driveway at BarkPark. It should be a fun and exciting day to help animals in central Ohio.
