Welcome Steam Threshers!

The 62nd Annual Miami Valley Steam Threshers Association Show and Reunion gets underway this week from Thursday, July 14 through Sunday, July 17.  The show, which takes place in Pastime Park, will feature Cockshut/Co-op tractors, the National Scale Model Show, as well as the Ferguson’s Summer meeting.

Additionally, please visit the Plain City Lions Club booth at the Steam Show for their Bob Evans’ “Farm boy” sausage sandwiches and bratwursts.  The Lions stand is a huge charitable money maker for the Plain City Club and allows them to carry out their good deeds throughout the year.

Joe will be working a few shifts at the Lions Booth, so stop by and say hi.  While you are there, ask him to make you a Lemon Shake Up.

The Lions Club Stand is open from 6 am to 10 pm and they also serve breakfast.  You can get pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and eggs (any way you like them).

The Plain City Historical Society will also be sharing space with The Friends of The Plain City Library at the Steam Show.  Stop by and find out all the great things these two groups have to offer.

And don’t forget to attend Black and Orange Cat Foundation’s 5th Annual Garage Sale all four days of the Steam Show beginning at 9 am each day (maybe sooner if Carol Gaul has her coffee). All proceeds from the sale will be used to spay and neuter area kitties. The sale is located at 176 Anderson Avenue, which abuts Pastime Park.

The group is still taking donations for the sale. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Carol at 614-419-1553.
