One More Music in the Park Has Been Added to End the Season. Come Watch “Plain City Dads” on Sunday, September 1 at 7 pm.

Music in the Park added one final band to finish off the season this Labor Day weekend. Come by Pastime Park on Sunday, September 1 at 7 pm to listen to live acoustic music presented by the Plain City Dads.

The Plain City Dads are Eric Chin and Byrd Manring. They describe themselves as “fathers of amazing children & Plain City residents. We entertain the crowds with our diverse musical selection, talent and of course Dad Jokes!” Their music ranges from “Johnny Cash to Pearl Jam, and everything in between!”

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and meet in the Gazebo area of the park. You can make a voluntary donation to the Plain City Music in the Park program at intermission.

The Final Music in the Park Performance will Feature the Lower London Street Dixieland Band on Sunday, August 25.

The final performance of the Music in the Park season will take place on August 25, Sunday at 7 pm and will feature the Lower London Street Dixieland Band performing 1920’s swing and dixieland music. This is our friend Ernie Sparks’ band. He is the pharmacist in London at Ernie’s Medicine Shoppe and plays the drums.

Glenn Parks also does performances on his own with his banjo and sings with the band.

The Lower London Street Dixieland Band also plays at 7:30 pm the final Tuesday of each month at the historic Red Brick Tavern, 1700 Cumberland Road (Route 40) in Lafayette, Ohio, just outside of London. Their next performance at the Red Brick will be on Tuesday, August 27.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and meet in the Gazebo area of the park. You will love hearing Ernie and the gang. You can make a voluntary donation to the Plain City Music in the Park program at intermission.

Steve Bumgarner will Perform at Music in the Park on Sunday, August 18 at 7 pm.

Plain City’s Music in the Park continues this week with Steve Bumgarner on Sunday, August 18 at 7 pm. Steve is a local musician from Marysville who resides here in Plain City.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and meet in the Gazebo area of the park. You can make a voluntary donation to the Plain City Music in the Park program at intermission.

Plain City’s Music in the Park continues this week with the Shriners Jazz Band on Sunday, August 11 at 7 pm. Enjoy dance, Big Band, and Swing music presented by the Shriners.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and meet in the Gazebo area of the park. You can make a voluntary donation to the Plain City Music in the Park program at intermission.

There are only two more performances this year.

Music in the Park Showcases the Dublin Cornet Band on Sunday, August 4 at 7 pm.

Plain City’s Music in the Park continues this week with the Dublin Cornet Band on Sunday, August 4 at 7 pm. Founded in Dublin, Ohio in 1879, this historic group performs a variety of music in the small brass band tradition, including New Orleans style, Celtic, and Oktoberfest. The Dublin Cornet Band is directed by Dr. Pat Herak, former member of the OSU Marching Band. Find out more about the band HERE.
