39th Year for “The Biggest Little Festival in Ohio” at Shekinah Christian School is September 7 and 8.

The Shekinah Festival and Auction will take place on Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8. The featured entertainment Friday evening will be One More Soul, a Southern Gospel group made up of local musicians from Hayden Enterprise Baptist Church in Hilliard. One More Soul formed the group over ten years ago. The entertainment will begin at 7:00 pm. Admission is FREE to this concert, but a goodwill offering will be taken.

From 5:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday the 7th, enjoy a pulled pork dinner provided by Todd and Becky Troyer, as well as homemade ice cream. There will also be a silent auction throughout the evening and a hot air balloon lift off at 5:45 pm.

The rest of the Shekinah Festival gets underway at sunrise on Saturday the 8th with hot air balloon rides (for rides call, 614-504-3068) at 7:15 am and breakfast beginning at 7 am. Egg and sausage sandwiches, coffee, and donuts will be some of the mouth watering breakfast items available. As always, there will also be lots of other food, activities for children, and many homemade items for sale. The homemade goods booths will open at 8:30 am. These items include: apple and peanut butter, baked goods and cookies, apple dumplings, and fry pies.

The much anticipated auction gets started at 9:30 am with the furniture and crafts portion. The hand-quilted quilts will be auctioned at 12:30 pm.

This is the 39th year for “The Biggest Little Festival in Ohio,” which is the main way Shekinah Christian School raises money to keep their tuition rates affordable. Please stop by and support them. The Shekinah Festival takes place at the Shekinah Christian School located at 10040 Lafayette-Plain City Road, just outside of Plain City.

This year’s Benefit Auction will also feature a 2018 Jayco RV. This unit was built specifically for the annual Shekinah Festival  and is being sponsored by HOMESTEAD RV CENTER in Hubbard, OH.

Bidding on the RV will begin at 1 PM on September 9, during the Festival. Please note that a reserve has been placed on this item. More information on the reserve is included in the flyer at the end of the posting.

Additionally, the Festival will also be auctioning off a relaxing week away down south (see flyer below). Spend a week at an Oceanfront Condo located in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on the Palmetto Dunes Plantation. The condo features two bedrooms (sleeps 7) with full baths and a private deck. Activities at the Palmetto Dunes Plantation include swimming, biking, golfing, boating, shopping, and restaurants.

The details for the condo include:

  • A week stay is from Saturday to Saturday.
  • The buyer must be 25 years of age or older.
  • Restricted Dates will be posted at a later time.

The featured entertainment Friday evening will be popular Christian ventriloquist comedian, Ryan Bomgardner. Ryan & Friends has been featured in the Cincinnati Inquirer, on the History Channel, and on many Disney Cruise Lines. His comedy has taken him to six continents and his largest live performance was for over 52,000 people. Ryan & Friends will begin entertaining at 7:00 pm. Admission is FREE to this concert, but a goodwill offering will be taken.

Schmid has opened for Johnny Paycheck, Ricky Skaggs, Randy Travis, and many other well known entertainers. The entertainment will begin at 7:30 pm. Admission is FREE to this concert, but a goodwill offering will be taken.

Shekinah Festival is September 12 and 13.

The featured entertainment Friday evening will be Live Past Life, a Christian band from Middletown, Ohio. The band was formed seven years ago by a husband and wife team. Together, the band has performed all over the east coast. The entertainment will begin at 7:30 pm. Admission is FREE to this concert, but a goodwill offering will be taken.

From 5:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday the 12th, enjoy a pulled pork dinner provided by Todd and Becky Troyer, as well as homemade ice cream. There will also be a silent auction throughout the evening and a hot air balloon lift off before sunset.
