Sending Our Gratitude and Blessings This Veterans Day!

This is our Great-Uncle Emmit Maggert in both of the photos below. Uncle Emmit recently visited Washington DC and the Veterans memorials through Honor Flight.

To find out more about Honor Flight, which is a wonderful program that allows veterans to see the monuments that commemorate their service, visit their web site HERE.

Uncle Emmit flew out through Honor Flight Dayton and we had the honor of seeing him and the other veterans traveling with him return home to the Dayton Airport. It was a festive, happy time–even though it was midnight and well beyond the veterans’ bedtimes and our bedtime!!

Honor Flight is a super program to donate to, as they pay for all travel costs for the veterans to visit Washington DC. There is absolutely no cost to the veterans–to thank them for their service, the program covers all expenses using donations.
