Meet Our Third Year Student Pharmacist for the Months of September and October, Victoria Williams.

UDJB6794

During September and October, we will be joined in the pharmacy and lab by Victoria Williams, a third year pharmacy student from The Ohio State University’s College of Pharmacy. Victoria will be with us part-time throughout September and October, so please stop by and meet her while she is in the store. Show her the Plain City hospitality!

Here is what Victoria tells us about herself:

Hi, everyone! My name is Victoria Williams and I am a third year pharmacy student from The Ohio State University. I will be on rotation with Plain City Druggist part-time during the months of September and October. I am very excited to be so warmly welcomed to the Plain City Druggist team and look forward to learning from this highly qualified staff in the many weeks to come.

I am originally from the Pittsburgh, PA area, but have been in Columbus for the last six years. I came to Ohio State in the Fall of 2011 to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences and decided to stay at OSU for my Doctor of Pharmacy degree. I have fallen in love with Columbus throughout my time here and now consider myself a Buckeye for life!

In my free time, I enjoy going to OSU football games, spending time with friends and family, and exercising. I actually teach cycling and strength group fitness classes at OSU’s campus recreation center!

I currently hold two pharmacy internship positions. I work at Riverside Methodist Hospital where I complete a variety of tasks from compounding IV medications to assisting with dosing warfarin and everything in between. This past summer I also started working at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center in their nuclear pharmacy. My duties there are varied, but I spend a lot of my time drawing up radioactive doses of medications that are used in various imaging scans, like a “stress test” to look at your heart.

Thus, I have a lot to learn about the type of pharmacy practiced at Plain City Druggist as it is unique to me and I am so excited to do so! In the few hours I’ve already spent with the Plain City Druggist team, I have been very impressed with the level of efficiency and customer service at this pharmacy.

Thank you for welcoming me to your community. I look forward to meeting you soon!
