We would like to wish everyone a very happy Memorial Day weekend. We also want to take the time to thank those who have served their country in the past or who are presently keeping us safe with their military service.

Please remember that the drugstore will be closed on Monday, May 27, in observance of this holiday. We will re-open on Tuesday, May 28, at 9 am and will be open regular hours.

The Plain City Memorial Day Celebration will start with a parade at 9 am beginning at the Old Plain City Elementary School.

The Ceremony at Forest Grove Cemetery begins at 10 am. Music will be provided by the Jonathan Alder Band.

For Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, Jerome Township has several activities planned at the Jerome Township Cemetery starting with the annual parade.

The parade will begin at 10 am at the Jerome United Methodist Church, 10531 Jerome Road, Village of Jerome and will be led by the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Local VFW and American Legion personnel, and the Boy Scouts of America. The Jerome Township Fire Department will follow.

A Memorial Service will be led by the Dublin VFW at the Jerome Township Cemetery. Music will be provided by the Dublin Coffman High School Band.

Dublin High School students who attended the Buckeye Boys and Girls State will give brief remarks.

No matter how you celebrate this weekend, please remember all those who have served our country and those who are currently in the armed services.
