15th Annual Classic Car Cruise-In is Saturday, August 26. Meet the Artists on the Lawn at White Feather Gallery-Boutique!

The 15th Annual Classic Car Cruise-In roars into town on Saturday, August 26, 2017. New this year, the show will take place in the evening from 2 pm to 8 pm. Also new this year will be the ability to purchase alcohol which must be kept inside the designated beer/wine garden.

There will be a variety of food trucks and vendors on site, including, Pitabilities, Dan’s Deli, Miller’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream, Timmy’s Meltdown, Troncone & Perry’s, Barley 31, Tavern 161, and The Buckeye Pig Rig.

There will also be entertainment featuring DJ Mac Thomas and live music from The Groove.

This year’s 15th Annual Cruise-In will take place in uptown Plain City on Main Street (Route 161) between Park Street and North Avenue. The show is once again being sponsored by Bob Chapman Ford. Proceeds benefit the Uptown Plain City Organization (UPCO) and the Friends of the Plain City Public Library.

If you would like to register in advance, it is only $10 and you can do so by going HERE. Online registration ends on August 24. Pre-register and save $3 (only $10)! Registration is $13 the day of the show. Registration takes place from 2 pm to 5 pm.

There will be tons of awards, including motorcycle awards and specially made awards.

Additionally, White Feather Gallery-Boutique & Garden Events will be hosting an “Artists on the Lawn” event at their boutique at 179 E. Main Street in uptown Plain City.

White Feather has many, many artists who they showcase in their Gallery. Many of the 50 plus artists are from right here in Ohio. Some of those artists will be available during the car show from 11 am to 3 pm on the lawn at White Feather to show off their products. Please stop by.

Friends of the Plain City Library Book Sale is May 20 through May 27.

Join the Friends of the Plain City Public Library for a Book Sale on May 20-27 at the Library, 305 West Main Street.

The sale gets underway Saturday, May 20 at 10 am and will take place in the large meeting room during normal library operating hours.

Library Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 10 am – 9 pm
Friday and Saturday: 10 am – 6 pm
Sunday: Closed

Book Sale at the Plain City Public Library Beginning on December 3.

Stop by the Plain City Public Library, 305 West Main Street, for the Friends of the Library’s Book Sale on Saturday, December 3 from 5- 8 pm during the Village’s Christmas Under the Clock celebration.

The sale will feature an enormous book sale in the library’s large meeting room, as well as a selection of gift items made from recycled books including jewelry, bookmarks, buttons, and other unique creations.

The Book Sale gets underway during Christmas Under the Clock and continues through December 10 during regular library hours (Monday to Thursday 10 am to 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 10 am to 6 pm).

Author Beverly Lewis will Do a Book Signing on Tuesday, April 5 at 10 am at the Plain City Public Library.

On Tuesday, April 5, bestselling author Beverly Lewis will visit the Plain City Public Library for a book signing and discussion beginning at 10 am.

Ms. Lewis is on a 10 day, 22-stop book tour through Ohio and will be greeting fans as she promotes her new book The Atonement. Ms. Lewis is the person responsible for starting the “Amish fiction” genre with her 1997 book, The Shunning. Since then, she has sold over 20 million copies of her inspirational books.

The Friends of the Plain City Public Library will have a limited number of The Atonement available for sale at the event. If you would like to order a copy in advance, download the order form HERE. You do not have to purchase a book, however, to attend this FREE event.
